Far within my heart
Lies a secret so serene;
A secret which keeps me sane
It's a small secret
But it keeps me from becoming drastic

The contents of my secret
Are for everyone to know
But the source of my secret

Is that she touched so many lives
She left us all so suddenly

Slowly drowning,
Struggling to breathe
Trying to keep my head
Above the surface

Dark waters creep in
Sucking me under
Calling out my name
Urging me to surrender

Silently fighting,
Resisting the urge,

Even now, limbs grow weak
